From Django Reinhardt's 100th Birthday Special Edition - Patrick Moulou

First version: July 7, 1943 (Paris). Four other versions: February 1, 1946 (London), March 1947 (Paris), April 16, 1947 (Paris), November 8 or 13, 1947 (RTF France).

Recorded initially with a section of violins (led by Michel Warlop), then with the string quartet, and the clarinet (on the acoustic guitar and the electric guitar), this ballad full of delicacy seems to have been one of Django's themes of predilection in the second half of the forties.
